To the functioning heroin addict. What I am going to say comes from a place of experience both personally and through the work I do with l.e.

No judgement here!!!

Firstly, I get the work thing. You can do all that work because some people get energized by it and you can't feel the pain of all the labor.

Secondly, your dealer assumes you're like every other addict whose desperate, and unlike them you have the financials means to support your habit.

But really hun if you want to get clean there may not be ""rehabs"" here but there ARE Doctors who will get you on suboxone treatment or there is a rehab in Santa Rosa.

For anyone who is judging:
As crazy as it sounds, heroin is actually the least physically harming drug to your body. It's not acidic and doesn't rot teeth and nasal cavities, or kill brain cells the way that meth or cocaine does, and doesn't deposit tar in your lungs like cigs, and it doesn't do liver damage like alcohol. If you take large amounts of low dose pain pills, that WILL hurt your liver because of processing the coating. But you said straight up heroin.

It is however the physically powerful and most addictive drugs, hence why addicts are desperate. They are also desperate because withdrawal,  won't kill you like alcohol, but it will feel the worst of ANY other because your body won't know how to react to pain without it and actually needs it and does not know what do do without it. This is not the case with most drugs, where people are purely addicted because emotionally can't go through life without drugs ir they want to party all the time. Heroin is physical. When you come off, you will feel like you're dying.

To the user:
What happens the day you are injured and nothing with help the pain, because you are too tolerant to drugs??? Your body loses the ability to fight pain on its own. That will not be fun.

Honestly the biggest danger you face is getting tainted drugs or something that's more powerful than you're used to and you overdose. Especially if your dealer is feeling vindictive. It's the hardest habit to kick, but if you value your life, please consider getting help. Have a good night.
