It is sickening how some of these local Facebook groups are nothing more than groups of (primarily) woman feeding off of each others codependent and enabling bullshit which completely mimicks real life Lake County. Real self-esteem can only be achieved through honesty and healthy self-criticism. If you don't identify the false and destructive ways in which you think, speak and act, especially when alone with your thoughts; the self-esteem you try to instill will be empty and worthless and only exists as long as those who enable you are around. What makes us feel good about ourselves is being strong, courageous, kind, tolerant, helpful, humble and a productive member of society. That being said- living your life on SSI (real or not) child support/welfare while having like minded enabling ""friends"" is no different than being the addict or alcoholic you claim you once were. Being a parent or even a good one, isn't a ""job"" it's a given, a responsibility. Being a parent of multiple kids that increase your income, isn't a job either but it is probably why you're single. How is your parenting breaking the cycle for your kids to obtain true happiness once they're set free into the world as an adult when the life skills they are learning (and witnessing) is a falsehood? Not being from this county originally, this is a lifestyle and culture I have never seen before until relocating. Why are so many woman here obese? With lots of kids? With no babydaddy? With a piece of shit car? With shit tattoos & ugly piercings? Because their friends are the same. Because their friends tell them they're beautiful. Because their friends aren't really their friends but nobody cares as long as they don't call each other out. The thing is I know plenty of woman with multiple kids that are are healthy minded and physically and the difference is their mentality and work ethic. The difference is they had parents that cared enough to teach them to succeed. The difference is you can probably collect welfare and EBT and SSI until you til but you can't work at tri cities answering service forever.
