"Something I saw in one of our local community groups that irked me enough to prompt discussion. Some people are way too intense on both ends when it comes to this whole EBT bullshit. Some people act like it's the end of the world over a person ""using their EBT card to purchase alcohol."" In some cases regarding ebt cash it gets treated as the RECIEVING end of child support, meaning one spouse pays the state which pays the other via EBT cash. Now unless you are her buying booze week in week fucking out while their Kidd appears to be neglected get the fuck off your high horse. Don't get me wrong it is frustrating seeing alcohol or tabacco being purchased with ebt cash as well. But if that kid is in a decently kept home and is being nurished properly who the fuck am I to judge? What should be bothering people more is those people who get easily $1,000 a month in food stamps, yet are consistently carrying around more money in their pocket than most of us will see in a month. (Note the word consistently). For it would suggest that person makes enough to not need it, and that money could go to a family that needs it a lot more. "
